Ingredients
24 oz whole Button Mushrooms,
3/4 cup of Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
3-4 tbsp of Butter, plus extra as needed
1-2 cloves of Garlic, smashed and minced
1/4-1/2 tsp Garlic Powder,
1 tsp Parsley
A pinch of salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation – Stuffing
Pluck a few oddly sized or broken mushrooms from the bunch and mince finely or pull 4-5 mushrooms from the carton and set aside for this purpose.
Put your butter in a non-stick frying pan
Add garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant
Add breadcrumbs and minced mushrooms to the buttery-garlicky mixture.
Add garlic powder to the mixture and cook down (mash together).
Add cajun/italian seasoning ((oregano & parsley) and other seasoning to taste.
Let cool.
Preparation – Stuffed Mushrooms
Line a pan with foil and grease the foil with olive oil
Line mushrooms up 1 inch increments
Core the mushrooms and stuff them with stuffing. Make sure to push down as far as it can go so that the stuffing is soft.
Bake for 20 minutes on 350 degrees. For softer mushrooms bake for an additional 10 minutes.
