A few weeks ago, Josh and I began the journey towards homesteading. Taking baby steps we began a 20 x 10 garden on the side of our house. As per usual, however, the Louisiana weather did not cooperate with our plans for the first few weeks. Those weeks seemed to drag on because of lack of sunshine and the constant midst/rain that persisted, for what seemed like every single day. When it wasn't raining the soil would get an opportunity to dry, but it would kind of crust over and get really hard. Besides the collard greens, strawberries, green bell peppers, beans, and herbs that we started inside, I was nervous about the things we sowed directly into the ground.
Yesterday I decided to get out there to see what was under the dry, hard ground. With a mini-shovel in tow and my bare fingertips, I began to uncover the sprouting seeds. Aside from seeing the seedling sprout inside, this was by far the most rewarding experience. I had to handle each sprout with care as I helped it see it's first sunlight.
This process reminded me of the prophets in the Bible.
Most people believe that the prophets gave new predictions about the future that were inspired by Yah, but Yah has been revealing so much to me lately that I feel obliged to share it with you.
The Hebrew word for prophet is Nabi (נבי), Strong's number 5030.
Nun (נ) = seed; life
Bet (ב) = shelter; house; family or anything that is important inside of the house.
Yod (י) = arm; throw
Therefore, a prophet is someone who Yah uses to uncover the seed, that which is things that are hidden in the Torah which are the rules of the Father's house. Understanding the Torah and applying it to your life will literally throw you into the Father's arms. An illustration of this would be an example that Huldah, with Her Royal Roots, said this weekend at a women's gathering. She gave a simile to paint the picture of the role of prophets. She said, "prophets used the Torah like a doctor would use a medical encyclopedia to diagnose diseases and prescribe the prognoses." To make it plain, the prophets would often observe the children of Israel to figure out the symptom that matches a prognosis ascribed by Yah. This goes back to what I've said previously about the Bible repeats itself as it shows you the consequences of adverse behavior or disobedience to the Father. The children of Israel went in and out of captivity for the same sins (worshiping false gods and forgetting about Yah). That is what the children of Israel are experiencing even today.
One day, however, Judah will return to Yah and begin to sow seeds in the fallow ground and will not sow on thorns. For they will recognize the evil in their ways and turn away from the things that ignites the Father's fury.
" If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the Lord, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove. And thou shalt swear, The Lord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings."
In this hour, we are seeing so many Hebrews waking up and they are beginning to sow seeds into their own fallow ground. Will you?
Shalom.
